Therapeutic Yoga is a slow paced type of yoga that emphasizes gentle postures that are structurally sequenced and repetitive. The goal is to strengthen and tone weak muscles while supporting the body through use of the breath. Yoga is not so much about stretching as it is about opening up to, and being aware of, what our bodies are showing us on a daily basis. These classes are perfect for someone who wants a slower paced class with sequences designed to encourage safe movement of the upper back and neck as well as the low back and hips. Proper breath work will be taught to enhance strength and balance of the body/mind.
